What time is The Boys Season 4 on Prime Video with the release-day change?
The Boys Season 4 finally arrives on Prime Video this week. It’s all about Thursday, June 13. The question a lot of fans will now have is when exactly they can watch episodes.
We used to get episodes the day before they were “officially” released. We would see the Friday release date, but the episodes would drop on Thursday night. This was always due to time zones, as releases happened at midnight UK time on the Friday.
Things have changed since Amazon moved the release date to Thursdays. When can you watch The Boys Season 4?
The Boys Season 4 will drop a little earlier than we’re used to
While we were used to watching The Boys at 7 p.m. ET on Thursdays, that’s changed. The release is now a little earlier.
You’ll be able to watch the first three episodes of The Boys Season 4 at 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT on Thursday, June 13. Yes, the episodes are dropping based on the U.S. time zones now.
This means episodes are available around 8 a.m. UK time on the Thursday instead of having to wait until midnight on the Friday.
The Boys Season 4 is still getting a weekly release
This doesn’t mean there is a change in the way episodes are released, though. Only the first three episodes will be released this week. After this, the episodes are coming out weekly.
I know a lot of people love to blame Amazon and greed for this weekly release decision. When it came to The Boys, it was nothing to do with Amazon. Eric Kripke spoke out about how he and the show as a whole asked for the weekly release. While the binge model is great for some shows, the weekly release is so much better for others.
A weekly release gives people time to digest everything that they’re seeing. They can talk about events that happened, and discuss theories as to what is likely to come next. With a show as big and as costly as The Boys, it’s only fair that it gets the time with fans as it deserves. I’m all here for a weekly release!
