Yes, The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 probably will arrive in 2024
In the middle of the strike action this summer, we got some great news for Summer fans. The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 is officially happening.
When the renewal was announced, it was clear that this renewal came in before the strike action. That meant a renewal ahead of the second season premiering on Prime Video, which meant great news for fans. There is a chance that the writing work started ahead of the writers strike. If not, the writing work could happen as soon as the WGA strike came to an end.
That helps to keep the wait for the new season to a minimum. There is a good chance that we’ll get to see The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 in 2024. We just may not get it in summer.
When could The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 premiere on Prime Video?
Let’s just take a look at the wait for the second season. The renewal came in before the premiere of the first season and we only had to wait 13 months for the second season to premiere. With that in mind, there could have been the plan to bring Season 3 in August 2024.
This is where we have some bad news. With production not being able to start up until the end of 2023 at the earliest, we’re probably looking at the series missing out on a summer release. However, with how quick this series is to film, it is possible that we’ll get the third season before 2024 comes to an end.
If 2024 isn’t possible, we’re looking at early 2025. I don’t think we’ll have to wait until summer 2025.
The third season is likely going to be the last. After all, there are only three books in the Jenny Han series.
