The Strangers: Chapter 1 is not coming to Prime Video after theaters (Here's where to stream)

When The Strangers first came out, it made us think much more about the world of horror. Usually, the antagonist has a personal reason for an attack. That changed with The Strangers, and now The Strangers: Chapter 1 promises to continue the “you were home” reasoning.

The Strangers: Chapter 1 follows a young couple who is forced to spend the night in a remote cabin when their car breaks down. Of course, the idea of spending the night in a remote cabin you weren’t supposed to be in is already off-putting enough. The young couple find themselves fighting for their lives when three masked strangers turn up.

These masked people don’t even seem to have a motive for their actions. The people were simply “home” at the time of the attack. It's great for fans of The Strangers franchise.

The Strangers: Chapter 1 is not coming to Prime Video

We do start with some bad news in that you won’t be able to watch this movie on Prime Video for free with your Prime membership. At least, not at first. But don’t skip your Prime membership for now.

This is a Lionsgate movie, which means that it is going to Starz at first. You can add Starz via Amazon Channels, allowing you to keep everything in one place. Starz does come at an additional cost of $9.99 per month. There is a 7-day free trial if you haven’t had it before, though.

The Strangers: Chapter 1 will come to Amazon Instant Video

If you don’t want yet another streaming platform, you just need to wait for the Digital release. The Strangers: Chapter 1 will head to Digital, and this could be within the next month or so. It means you’ll be able to buy or rent the movie on Amazon Instant Video.

There is some great news for those who buy their movies on Amazon Video. While you do have to pay extra, you don’t actually need your Prime membership for this. You just need a free Amazon account and then you can buy the movie. That movie is available in your Amazon account for as long as you have it, so you can watch it over and over again.
