The Boys Season 4 surprisingly ended with only three major deaths (who were they?)

The Boys Season 4 has come to an end. We expected deaths, but not the three that happened. Who lived and who died in The Boys Season 4 finale?

We always expect deaths and cliffhangers at the end of The Boys seasons. The Boys Season 4 finale didn’t disappoint, but it was surprising. There were only three major deaths, and quite honestly, none of them were really who we expected.

Okay, granted, there were a lot of deaths that happened in the episode. We saw Singer’s security team killed, and The Seven wiped out everyone in the Tower. However, they weren’t major deaths when it comes to the characters we’ve been following.

We didn’t see the end of A-Train, like I expected. Ashley even made it through—although she is now a Supe. Every member of The Seven and The Boys are still alive, although things have changed for good. So, who did die during the final episode?

Shifter Annie was killed in The Boys Season 4

The Shifter Supe’s run came to an end in the new episode. Still taking on the form of Annie, we watched as Shifter Annie and Real Annie battled. This was after Shifter Annie “killed” Kimiko.

With the way the two of them were dressed, this episode didn’t leave us wondering who was fighting who. The focus on was Annie realizing that while she doesn’t know if she’s good or evil, she does know that the Shifter is going to die by her hands. That’s exactly what happened.

So, that’s Lee Harvey Oswald dealt with.

Grace sees her final days at the hands of Ryan

The next death did come as a surprise. Butcher and Grace waited for Ryan to come to visit Butcher. It looked like things were going well for all of them. Ryan listened to what Butcher had to say about Homelander and the protection of people.

However, Grace ruined it all. She told Ryan that Homelander and Becca never had an affair. She told him the circumstances of his birth, which was always going to hurt this kid who is still figuring out himself. Then Grace made it clear that she would lock herself in the room with Butcher and Ryan and release a gas that would put them all to sleep.

Ryan wasn’t going to stand for that. He didn’t want to be locked up like Homelander, and he didn’t want to kill his dad. Just as it looks like Grace would push the button, Ryan pushed her into the wall and killed her.

This is the catalyst for Butcher giving into the Joe Kessler side of him.

Victoria Neuman is split in two by Butcher in The Boys Season 4 finale

After the failed assassination attempt, Homelander calls Neuman to tell her that she will become President. When she does, she will become his puppet or he hurts her daughter. Well, Neuman needs to get away after that, and she turns to The Boys for help.

Butcher turns up as Neuman and Zoey turn up. He isn’t happy with the idea, and he uses his own powers to take her down. He finally accepts what he has become after taking V, and we get to see the tentacles come out of his chest and attack Neuman.

He literally rips her in half. Her death is used by Vought to get Singer arrested and their own President put in power, though.

With that, we come to the end of another epic season of The Boys. Now we have to wait until we see how it all ends.
