The Last of Us on Max

Another recent one is more like a zombie type series. It’s also based on a video game, and this one did get a lot of praise from fans of the game. The show had an opportunity to develop the side characters in the game, giving them more screentime and backstory.

The Last of Us main follows a man who tries to get a teenager to a safe zone where she could help the human race. It turns out that she is immune to the virus that has spread around the world, and doctors want to understand why and develop a cure or maybe a vaccine for the others in the world.

A second season is in the works. Be patient; it got caught up in the strikes.

The Walking Dead on AMC+

Zombies tends to be the way that dystopian futures start. That’s what we get with The Walking Dead. Rick Grimes wakes up in a hospital bed after being in a coma. The hospital has been abandoned with bodies everywhere after a virus outbreak that has turned the dead into zombies.

Now Rick needs to reunite with his family. On top of that, he needs to keep his people safe. That’s not so easy when you have multiple groups of people that believe they have the best way of staying alive. Then there are those who are looking for a zombie cure and those who think they can train zombies.

There are a bunch of spin-offs after you get through the 11 seasons of the series. This will keep you busy.

The Walking Dead is available to stream on AMC+.
