Sausage Party: Foodtopia lands a second season: What can we expect?

There is some great news for Sausage Party fans, Sausage Party: Foodtopia has landed a second season. Amazon continues to grow its adult animation line of programming.

It’s not that surprising Foodtopia has been renewed. There was plenty of hype around the series due to the popularity of the movie. Adult animation is also a popular genre. Just look at Animation Domination on Fox every Sunday!

The renewal came with the news that Invincible has landed a fourth season and Hazbin Hotel is being extended by two more seasons to take it up to Season 4. It’s great news all around.

What to expect in Sausage Party: Foodtopia Season 2

The first season seemed to wrap up the storyline pretty well. The evil orange, Julius, was taken down. It turned out that he was being controlled by a small piece of rice called Jeri, who was gobbled up by a crow at the very end of the season.

This opens up a can of worms, though. There are surely other pieces of food that felt overlooked at some point.

On top of that is the story of grief. Brenda was killed off in a shocking turn of events. This makes it clear that nobody is safe, and I love it when shows do that. We can’t get too attached to anyone.

Frank seems to have full control of the food, and he has the human Jack to enforce the rules. This makes Frank a dictator, which is sure to lead to some sort of food rebellion in the second season. With Frank no longer having Brenda there as a voice of reason, how dangerous could he end up being?

There isn't word on when we could get Sausage Party: Foodtopia Season 2, but we're looking at the end of 2025 at the earliest. It does take time to work with animation, but a quick renewal will help to keep the wait to a minimum. Hopefully! This shouldn't be another Invincible Season 2!
