Yes, you will be able to watch Matlock on Amazon thanks to Amazon Channels
We are certainly ready for the return of fall TV. The broadcast networks are bringing shows back this week, and CBS will start with the premiere of a new series. It’s time to check out Matlock.
The Matlock series premiere will air tomorrow, Sunday, Sept. 22. Keep in mind that this is a one-off premiere. The show will then take a break until October, and it will move to Thursday nights. However, the premiere is certainly something to look forward to, and the streaming details we provide will still work when the series airs on Thursdays.
Matlock is a reboot of the 1980s original series of the same name. However, it’s set in a world where the original series was a TV show based on comments made by Bates’s character in the trailer. Bates plays Madeline Matlock, who returns to work during her retirement. It looks like she’s doing it to pay the bills, but there is something else going on.
Watch Matlock with Amazon Channels
You can watch the new series with Prime Video, but you will need to get one of the Amazon Channels. This series airs on CBS, which means that it airs on Paramount+. If you go to Paramount+ directly, you can watch some shows live. That’s not the case with Amazon Channels, it seems.
However, you can watch the show the following day (and then whenever you want) with the streamer via Amazon Channels. The cost of the streamer is the same as if you went directly to the platform, but you get to keep everything in one place on Prime Video.
The series premiere will be available on Monday, Sept. 23. After that, episodes will be available on Fridays, starting on Friday, Oct. 18.
Get Matlock on Digital
How about a way without a streaming platform? You’ll want to head to Amazon Instant Video, where you can buy shows and movies on Digital. Matlock will head to Digital with episodes dropping the day after their air on the network. It can take a couple of days for the first episode of a new series, but after that, we’re looking at episodes being made available within 24 hours of them airing on CBS.
There is a season pass option to get. This makes the episodes cheaper and they will be automatically added to your Amazon account to watch as soon as they’re available.
