It may have been 20 years ago that the original movie came out, but Mean Girls is still as fetch (yes, it happened) as ever. Now there’s a reboot, and you’re sure to head straight to theaters to watch it.

This is a reboot and not a revival. We pick up with the story of Cady Heron joining a new school after moving to the United States. She ends up pulled into the world of social cliques, and one of them is the Plastics, ruled by Regina George.

When Cady falls for Regina’s ex-boyfriend, she ends up in a lot of trouble. Will her social life take a downward spiral before it can even start, or will she manage to take over the Plastics and do what has never been done before?

Is Mean Girls on Prime Video?

The movie is currently out in theaters, and you’ll want to head there to check it out right away. However, then you’ll want to watch it at home, so you need to know where it’s streaming after theaters.

It’s not going to be on Prime Video for free with your Prime membership. This is a Paramount Pictures movie, so it will head to Paramount+. The good news is you can get Paramount+ via Amazon Channels, and there is a chance that it will head to Prime Video afterward.

There is another way to watch the movie with Amazon. You can buy or rent movies via Amazon Instant Video. The great news is Mean Girls will get a Digital release.

This usually happens within a couple of months of the theatrical releases. Some Digital releases have been available to rent within a couple of weeks of the theatrical releases for those who prefer to watch at home, but to buy and keep, you’ll need to wait a little longer.
