The Lie

Blumhouse is known for its great horror movies. They’re not always those that are immediately scary. Instead, they’re psychological and will make you think about what’s going on. The Lie is one of those.

Joey King stars as Kayla, a teenager heading to dance camp with her father. When they spot Kayla’s best friend on the side of the road, they offer her a ride. However, on the way, the friend goes missing and Kayla’s father needs to return home and create an elaborate lie with his wife before everyone suspects him of having something to do with it.

Well, there is more to it. Kayla says that she pushed her friend off the bridge. The parents need to cover up her crime, but how far are they willing to go?

The Lie is available on Prime Video for free with your Prime membership.
