Amazon is adding more than 10 titles to Freevee today (May 1)

It’s the first of the month, and that means a bulk of new content on streaming platforms. Amazon has 13 titles joining Freevee today, Wednesday, May 1.

Just as a reminder, Freevee used to be IMDb TV. It’s Amazon’s free, ad-supported streaming platform. There are usually some Freevee Originals joining throughout the month, but that’s not the case in May 2024.

It’s all about the release of movies at the start of the month this time. There is something for everyone as usual, though.

The Emoji Movie, The Purge, and more

Let’s start with something for the whole family. The Emoji Movie was one of those that we didn’t quite think we needed at first. What could they possibly do to make emojis all that interesting in a storyline? Well, The Emoji Movie proved that it was a great addition, and it’s become a fun movie for children (and adults) of all ages.

It follows Meh, who wants to be more than Meh. Why does he have to follow the type of emoji that he is? At the same time, he wants to prove that he has what it takes as the Meh Emoji, and when he gets that chance, everything that could go wrong does go wrong.

The two Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs movies are also back on the streaming platform. They’re great fun for the whole family as we follow one man who has some great ideas but doesn’t quite see how they could end up going wrong.

For those who like action and a look at what humanity is really like, The Purge movies are certainly worth checking out. The two middle movies are coming to Freevee today. That the 2014 release Anarchy and the 2016 release Election Year.

If you still need a reminder of what humanity can do to people, the 2020 movie The Hunt is also streaming on the platform. This follows a group of people who become prisoners in the middle of a field for rich people to hunt down and kill.
