There is one thing that this series offers: a look at what real female friendships are. June Hart takes in abused women. They find a connection to each other through their pasts, but they don’t just connect over that. They find joy in life together despite their pasts. They look out for each other.

When Alice runs away, they all worry. They all want to find her, and they will do what it takes to figure out why Alice left and where she could be. More secrets come out, and that should break them all. For a while, some of them change and dim their lights, but that doesn’t last forever. At the end of the day, they support each other being their own people, but there will always the be the safety of their friendship at June’s place.

You didn’t think I’d forgotten these two, did you? There is not a chance that I could. After all, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel didn’t end with Midge being on stage. It didn’t end just about Susie becoming a success. It ended with the two of them still talking, still connecting, still spending time with each other thousands of miles apart.

This was one of those friendships that started as a business decision and grow to something more. Susie saw something in Midge that nobody else did, and she made sure that Midge took life by the reins and ran with her talent. There were highs and lows, but they were there for each other.

But they managed to find their way back to each other. After all, with everything they’d both been through, it always had to end about the two of them.
