Fallout fans will get to enter the retro-futuristic world earlier than initially anticipated. Amazon is dropping the series a day earlier.

Variety confirmed the exciting news. All eight episodes will drop on Wednesday, April 10 at 6 p.m. PT. That’s 9 p.m. ET.

Yes, that’s all eight episodes at once. The series is still a binge-watch, and this isn’t just a tease of a couple of episodes before the regular release. Amazon does usually opt for weekly releases for the big shows like this, but it shows that Amazon is listening to the game fans out there to bring the full first season and allow everyone to pass judgment.

A live chat option to talk to other Fallout fans

Amazon knows how highly anticipated this series is. As well as the early release, Amazon will include a live global fan premiere of the first episode. Viewers will be able to interact with other fans around the world with the live chat function. This is also a chance to choose your faction.

Variety doesn’t have all the details about this. It’s presumably through the X-ray viewer that Amazon offers through Prime Video.

Fallout Season 2 already looks promising

Along with this exciting news is that it already looks like Fallout Season 2 is going to happen. The series is still to be officially renewed, but considering the hype and the glowing reviews already, Amazon would be crazy not to give it a quick renewal after the premiere.

IGN shares that the series has landed a $25 million tax credit to relocate to California from New York, where the first season was filmed. This certainly suggests that Amazon has quietly renewed the show.

This happened to Citadel before it was officially renewed for a second season. It led to speculation that the series had been quietly renewed and fans were just waiting for the official confirmation. It didn’t take long after the show aired for Amazon to give it a second season, although there are now doubts that the second season will happen, especially due to the strike action last summer. That world had already expanded with the announcement Citadel: Diana would arrive in 2024.

The benefit of Fallout is that it already has a loyal fanbase. Fans are excited to see the world of the games come to life. With the success of The Last of Us on Max, there is a lot of hope that Amazon can bring us something similar with this post-apocalyptic world.
