Cuckoo probably isn't coming to Prime Video, but it will be on Amazon
There are some great movies coming out this weekend. Not all will head to every theater out there, and Cuckoo is one of them. This is getting a limited release, but you’ll want to check it out.
The thriller stars Hunter Schafer and Dan Stevens, and it follows Gretchen, who moves to the German Alps to live with her father. However, she is soon pulled into some disturbing situations when her father’s boss opens a can of worms that invollves a sinister plot.
Can Gretchen get out alive? Is her family in danger? What is going on? You’ll need to watch to find out.
Cuckoo could head to Prime Video after theaters
It’s difficult to say where this movie is going to stream after theaters. You see, it’s a NEON distributed movie, and NEON doesn’t have an exclusive deal with a streaming service. That means it will depend on licensing agreements while the movie is out in theaters or shortly after.
This could mean a Prime Video release at first. Hulu could also be heavily in the running for this movie.
Cuckoo will be available via Amazon Instant Video
There is another way to watch movies on Amazon. You don’t need Prime Video when you head over to Amazon Instant Video. This is where you can buy or rent movies, and it can work out cheaper if you enjoy a particular movie and want to watch it more than once. After buying it, the digital copy is added to your normal Amazon account, and you get to watch as often as you like.
Cuckoo will head to Digital. It’s not 100% clear when that will be, but a lot of NEON movies are released two to three months after the theatrical release. We’ll keep an eye out on this limited theatrical release for you.
