Is Criminal Record on Amazon? (Where to stream the Peter Capaldi series)

If you’re in the mood for a crime drama, there’s some great news. Peter Capaldi and Cush Jumbo star in a new series that debuts today. It’s all about Criminal Record.

The series follows two cops who need to get to the bottom of an anonymous phone call. This call suggests that Capaldi’s Daniel Hegarty got the wrong man for a murder years earlier. Cush Jumbo’s June Lenker is ready to get to the bottom of the case.

The two face off against each other as Hegarty is sure he got the right person. He got a confession after all. Yet, it’s clear that he is hiding some sort of dark secret, and Lenker is not afraid to risk her career for the right thing.

Is Criminal Record on Prime Video?

There is some bad news to start this post. You won’t be able to watch the new series on Prime Video for free with your Prime membership.

This is an Apple series, which means it is only available on Apple TV+ right now. We are seeing some non-exclusive licensing between companies, but we don’t see Apple needing to license to Amazon in the near future.

Is Criminal Record on Amazon Video?

What about coming to the other way you can get shows on Amazon? Will we be able to buy the series on Digital via Amazon Instant Video? This is highly unlikely.

With it being an Apple Original Series, it’s doesn’t make sense to put the content out on Digital. This takes people away from the streaming platforms. There have been the odd releases, but that’s not a common experience.

We could see the series come to DVD and Blu-ray in the future. This is something we’ll keep an eye on.
