Upload fans will be excited to see Robbie Amell’s latest project. Teaming up with his cousin Stephen Amell again, the two bring us Code 8: Part II.

Yes, this is the sequel to the Canadian sci-fi movie Code 8. The first movie came out in 2019 and was an immediate hit. There has been a delay for the sequel due to the pandemic and then the strike action last summer. However, we finally have it.

The sequel follows on from where the first movie left us. We’re in the fictional Lincoln City where around 4% of the people have special abilities. When a teenage girl goes after corrupt cops to get justice for her brother, she ends up becoming a target. To get out of trouble, she turns to an ex-con and his former partner-in-crime to deal with the situation.

Code 8: Part II is not coming to Prime Video

There is some bad news to start this post. It is not coming to Prime Video.

Like the original movie, Code 8: Part II is a Netflix Original. The only place to watch it is on Netflix. There’s no need for Netflix and Amazon to share content right now. That could change in the future, but it’s unlikely.

Code 8: Part II could come to Amazon Video

There is another way to watch movies on Amazon. It’s all about buying and renting movies on Digital via Amazon Instant Video. We have potentially good news.

There is a chance that this movie will be released on Digital. That’s despite it being a Netflix Original Movie. The first installment came out on Digital, which increases the chance of the sequel getting the same treatment. We just have to look at how Netflix has still put shows on Digital after saving them from cancellation despite probably not wanting to.
