We have an idea as to when Borderlands could come to DVD and Blu-ray

Borderlands is out in theaters, and there’s no doubt that is the best place to watch it. What if you’re on the fence? How about if you just loved it and already want to watch it again at home?

Based on the popular game franchise, Borderlands follows an infamous bounty hunter called Lilth. She has returned to her home planet, Pandora, and needs to go up against some of the most dangerous bandits and monsters of all time. She forms an alliance with a ragtag team of misfits, which includes the world’s most annoying robot, Claptrap!

It doesn’t look like the movie is following a particular game within the franchise. Nor does it look like this is set ahead or before the game franchise in the way that Fallout was. If you are a die-hard fan of the game, I do encourage to go in with caution. This is great for those with no knowledge of the game and just looking for some action-filled fun.

When is Borderlands coming to DVD and Blu-ray?

With the movie only just out in theaters, there isn’t a set DVD release date just yet. We can take a look at the studio to see when we can expect to see the movie to head to DVD. This is a Lionsgate movie, so we’re looking at The Strangers: Chapter 1 and The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare to get an idea for this one.

It took around two months for the two movies to head from theaters to DVD. We can expect something similar with this release. With that in mind, we’re looking at Borderlands coming to DVD around Tuesday, Oct. 8 or Tuesday, Oct. 15.

What about a Digital release? This took around a month for the two movies, which is great news for those wanting to watch Borderlands at home. It suggests a release around Tuesday, Sept. 3 or Tuesday, Sept. 10.
