Bad Boys: Ride or Die won't come to Prime Video (but we know where it will stream)
If you love Bad Boys, you’ll be excited to hear about the latest movie in the franchise. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are back in action in Bad Boys: Ride or Die.
The fourth movie in the franchise sees the duo’s late police captain linked to drug cartels. Of course, Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett know that he didn’t do this, so they decide it’s time to clear his name. This means a dangerous mission, but a whole lot of fun at the same time.
The best place to see the movie is in theaters. That’s possible right now, but what about when you want to watch it at home?
Where will Bad Boys: Ride or Die stream after theaters?
In some bad news, Bad Boys: Ride or Die will not head to Prime Video after its theatrical run. This isn’t to say that it never will, but the first streaming home is elsewhere. You won’t be able to watch it with Amazon Channels, either.
This movie is a Sony Pictures release. It means that it’s heading to Netflix as its first streaming home. Remember that this is just the first home, but it can be there for a couple of years before it heads to another platform. This usually happens six to eight months after the theatrical release.
Bad Boys 4 will head to Amazon Video
There is some good news for those wanting to watch it with Amazon. You’ll be able to buy or rent the movie on Digital via Amazon Instant Video. This isn’t the same as Prime Video. You will need to pay a one-off fee for the movie, but that’s it. There’s no need to keep a subscription service going. As long as you have your regular Amazon account, you’ll be able to watch the movie as much as you want.
The release is usually a month or two after the theatrical release, so you won’t need to wait as long as it takes for it to go to Netflix. There will also be a DVD release in the coming months.
Bad Boys: Ride or Die is currently out in theaters.
