We will get Reacher in 2024 but probably not Season 3

Reacher Season 3 is officially happening, and all eyes are on when we could see it. We probably won’t get new episodes in 2024.

There is some great news in the fact that we will definitely have some new episodes of Reacher in 2024. However, it’s probably not going to be the new season. It’s the fact that episodes of Season 2 will still need to air in January 2024.

Yes, we will still have three episodes of the second season to air in January. The finale is set to air on Friday, Jan. 19, 2024.

That probably means that we won’t see the third season arrive in the new year. We’ll probably need to wait until early 2025.

When could Reacher Season 3 premiere on Prime Video?

The great news about the Amazon series is that it has been renewed. On top of that, production has started. In the announcement video for the renewal, Alan Ritchson showed us that he was on set for the season. It’s clear that the renewal came in quietly and the writers got straight to work as soon as the WGA strike was over.

In a way, this could mean a 2024 release date. After all, this is a show that only takes around seven months to produce. The post-production isn’t as long as for the likes of The Boys and Gen V. That will help to keep the turnaround time to a minimum.

However, Amazon probably didn’t plan for this series to be in the 2024 schedule. A lot of decisions now are for the 2025 schedule. Plus, with new episodes of Season 2 in 2024, it makes more sense for Amazon to wait until early 2025, even if the episodes are ready.

This could depend on the content that is available next year. Amazon may need to pull some 2025 schedules forward if it can considering it’s already lost The Peripheral and A League of Their Own.
