Amazon shows unrenewed

The Peripheral

The Peripheral was supposed to come back for a second season. It was fairly quickly renewed, in fact. That wasn’t surprising with the great writing, acting, and storyline. Sadly, the series was one of the first casualties of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

A League of Their Own

A League of Their Own was renewed for a shortened final season. It was a fight to get this period drama to come back for a second season, and fans were happy to at least get some closure. Then Amazon decided to unrenew the series, stating that the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes were the reason. No, we’re not happy and we don’t agree that this had to happen!

There was hope that the two shows could be saved, but that hasn’t been the case just yet. A League of Their Own fans definitely deserve better! Both shows were originally planned for 2024, but now neither will air.
