Is Wonka coming to Amazon after theaters? (Where to stream)
Timothée Chalamet takes on the role of Willy Wonka in the new adaptation of the Roald Dahl character. Where will Wonka stream after theaters?
There have been a few versions of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl. Some of those have focused mostly on young Charlie Bucket, while others have put the focus on Willy Wonka, the chocolatier who offers a prize to just one lucky child.
It’s time to learn more about this mysterious man. In the latest movie, we head to the pre-Charlie days to see how he met the Oopma-Loopmas and brought them to his factory to create the best chocolate and candy.
Is Wonka on Prime Video?
The movie will stream on a platform after theaters, but it won’t be on the Amazon one. At least, not right away. You’ll want to keep your Prime Video subscription, though.
This is a Warner Bros. Studio movie, which means it’s heading to one particular streaming platform. It’s going to Max. You can get this via Amazon Channels.
It won’t remain on Max forever. Some Warner Bros. movies then head to Netflix, but there is no set pattern.
Is Wonka on Amazon Video?
There is another way to watch the movie online. It’s all about buying or renting the digital copy, which you’ll be able to do with this one. That means you will be able to get it on Amazon Instant Video.
There isn’t a set release date just yet. It probably won’t be out in 2023, but we could see it on Digital in early 2024, around the end of January or the start of February. We’ll be sure to keep an eye out for this.
It will also come out on DVD and Blu-ray. This is likely to be within the next three months or so. Again, we’ll keep an eye out for the release.
Wonka is out in theaters on Friday, Dec. 15.
