The movie is a lot of fun. After all, it’s Eddie Murphy. What do you expect from him? This is one of those movies for the people who love elves and making fun of people who enter neighborhood Christmas decoration contests because of how crazy people get.

Will Candy Cane Lane head to DVD and Blu-ray?

You don’t always wnat to keep a streaming platform, though. While this is an Amazon Original and is going to remain on Prime Video, you just don’t know what your financial situation will be like next year. So, you need to know if there will be a way to watch the movie without a continuous payment. That’s on DVD, right?

Candy Cane Lane probably won’t come to DVD and Blu-ray. Amazon movies tend to remain exclusive to the streaming platform. After all, Amazon doesn’t want to lose its subscribers.

Of course, putting the movie on DVD doesn’t arguably run the risk of losing subscribers. You need a DVD player, which means you need to be in one place. People will still watch on streaming, so avoiding Digital is the best option for Amazon. However, the streamers don’t tend to view things that way.

We haven’t see most Amazon movies head to DVD. There’s the odd couple like Air and Cold War, but very few others do get this sort of treatment, especially those that head straight to streaming and don’t go to theaters first.
