Will Napoleon come to DVD and Blu-ray?

Joaquin Phoenix stars as the titular character. You can head out to theaters right now, but what if you want to watch it at home? Usually, we look at when the movie will head to DVD and Blu-ray, but this release is questionable.

Napoleon may not get a DVD release

There is a chance that this movie won’t head to DVD and Blu-ray in the future. This movie is heading straight to Apple TV+ after theaters. The release date hasn’t yet been confirmed, but we’re getting ready for it.

Apple has been behind the creation of the movie, so it’s not surprising to see that it is heading to the streaming platform. This puts the DVD release in question, though.

Apple isn’t going to want to take people away from the streaming platform, and that’s something the DVD release could do. However, the benefit of the DVD release for streamers is that people need a DVD player. It’s not something that can be watched on the go without a portable DVD player, and not so many people have them anymore with the streaming platform. So, this could open the door to a DVD release in around a year.

What we probably won’t see is a release on Digital. This does take people away from the streaming platform.

Napoleon is currently out in theaters and will head to Apple TV+.
