Upload Season 3 is heading to Prime Video at the end of the week. The big question for so many fans of the show is whether it’s a binge-watch or not.

We are certainly more than ready for the new season of Upload. It picks up off the back of the the second season, which saw the potential for three Nathans in the third season. It does look like from the promo that we’ll get two versions at least.

Of course, you want to binge-watch the show like you’ve been able to do for the last two seasons. Will that be possible, or is Amazon changing up the release schedule? After all, we’ve seen Amazon trial a few different ways of releasing content recently.

Is Upload Season 3 a binge-watch?

Amazon isn’t bringing the series as a binge-watch like the previous two seasons. It’s opting for a weekly release, but not the standard three episodes and then one episode a week. We’re getting the two-episodes-per-week schedule, which worked well for Carnival Row and Jack Ryan.

Two episodes will arrive on Friday, Oct. 20. After that, we’ll get two episodes each week for the remaining three weeks. Yes, there are eight episodes in this season of the series. We don’t think it will be enough, but we’ll take it. There is always hope that we’ll get a fourth season of the series.

As much as we would love the binge-watch, a weekly release is actually better for the series. It keeps the show on the minds of fans for longer, and it gives people time to really appreciate the episodes, the graphics, and more. On top of that, it will help to spread out the original content available, especially since the 2024 schedule is going to be affected by the current strike action in the industry.
