If you read the Bonnie Garmus novel, you’ll want to check out Lessons in Chemistry on Apple TV+ right now. Will it come to DVD and Blu-ray?

The first two episodes of Lessons in Chemistry are now available to stream on Apple TV+. The remaining episodes will release weekly, and there’s no doubt that you’re tuning in. That’s especially the case if you’re a fan of the Bonnie Garmus novel that the show is adapted from.

Of course, this does mean that you need an Apple TV+ subscription. There are so many subscription services out there. Sometimes, you just want to be able to head to Amazon and buy the DVD, right? Is that going to be possible with this series?

Will Lessons in Chemistry come to DVD and Blu-ray?

It’s unlikely that we’ll get to see Lessons in Chemistry on DVD and Blu-ray. There have been a lot of Apple TV+ shows, and very few of them head to physical disc. This is the same with most of the streaming platforms.

Of course, there are some that did head to DVD. We just have to looked at Defending Jacob. This is usually due to the licensing agreement at the time, but most Apple TV+ shows don’t get this sort of release.

What about a Digital release instead? This is even more unlikely. If the series comes to Digital, it would mean the episodes are available to buy online. Let’s say you get them from Amazon Instant Video. The episodes are then added to your Amazon Library, so you can stream them whenever you like.

This takes people away from Apple TV+. After all, why keep paying for a subscription when you have the episodes available to watch over and over again for no additional cost? It’s not surprising that streaming platforms don’t want to release their content in this way.
