Amazon’s The Boys spin-off premieres at the end of this week. Here’s all you need to know about the Gen V release schedule.

It’s almost time to reenter the world of The Boys. The college-set spin-off series premieres on Prime Video at the end of the week. We already know that Supes aren’t the greatest people in the world, but what happens when you throw college hormones and situations into the mix?

Well, we’re about to find out. The series is set during and after the events of The Boys Season 3, so if you’re not caught up on that series, now is the time for that. There’s time, as Gen V is getting a weekly release.

Gen V release schedule on Prime Video

Yes, a weekly release. I know that those binge-watchers out there will moan, but the truth is that weekly releases are better for TV shows than binge-drops. They increase the chance of a show’s success as the show stays on the minds of fans for longer.

Plus, if you know Eric Kripke, you know that he puts a lot into each episode of all his shows. They deserve the time to breathe, and they need the time for fans to break down moments and talk about them over the water cooler.

So, when will the episodes come out? Here’s all you need to know about the Gen V release schedule on Prime Video.

  • Sept. 29: Episodes 1, 2, and 3
  • Oct. 6: Episode 4
  • Oct. 13: Episode 5
  • Oct. 20: Episode 6
  • Oct. 27: Episode 7
  • Nov. 3: Episode 8

The Gen V Season 1 finale airs on Friday, Nov. 3. We’ll have to wait to see if the show has been renewed or not. Chances are that it got an early renewal but Amazon hasn’t announced it yet, similar to The Summer I Turned Pretty. However, this could be a show that ends up stuck in limbo for some time due to the current strike action.
