It’s hard to keep track of how Amazon is releasing its content. Some content is released with two episodes per week, while others will drop with three episodes and then get released weekly. Then we still have the odd show that is a binge-watch. In fact, July had all three varieties!

So, when a new show is released, we need to know how it is coming out. The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart is the newest show heading to Prime Video. Will it be a binge-watch release, or will we need to wait for new episodes?

When do new episodes of The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart come to Prime Video?

We start off with some bad news for the binge-watchers. The full season isn’t going to arrive in one go. We’ll get three episodes on Friday, Aug. 4.

The rest of the season will be released weekly. There are seven episodes in total to this show, with the finale set to air on Friday, Sept. 1.

While this is bad news for the binge-watchers out there, it’s not all too surprising that Amazon is releasing the show like this. There are two reasons to release weekly right now, with the first linked to the strike action. By releasing weekly, there is more time for new episodes before having to release a new show. The streamer is going to start running out of content by the end of the year, so Amazon will want to stretch out everything that is available.

The other reason it to keep the attention on the show. Eric Kripke made it clear that he was the one who wanted to release The Boys weekly to get people theorizing and talking between the episodes. This did build up the audience, and other shows have seen similar success. It shouldn’t be too surprising that Amazon is doing these weekly releases with more shows.

The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart is coming to Prime Video on Friday, Aug. 4.
