Will Good Omens Season 2 come to DVD and Blu-ray?

Usually, we don’t expect to see an Amazon series head to DVD and Blu-ray. Good Omens Season 2 is likely to be one of the exceptions.

Under normal circumstances, we’d say it’s unlikely to see Good Omens Season 2 head to DVD and Blu-ray. We just have to look at the many other Amazon Original Series that don’t get DVD release dates. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Upload, and Patriot are all shows that have remained exclusive to Amazon, and some of them are huge shows.

However, there are the odd shows that do get DVD releases. Jack Ryan and Bosch will initially come to mind, but The Boys had its first two seasons released on DVD around the time Season 3 came to Prime Video.

Will Good Omens Season 2 get a DVD release?

We are expecting to see the second season of Good Omens come to DVD and Blu-ray. That’s mostly because the first season got a DVD release. This is very common with UK productions, and not just for Amazon. Netflix’s shows like The Last Kingdom and The Crown have been released on DVD and Blu-ray in the past.

It took around five months for Good Omens Season 1 to go from Amazon to DVD. We could look at something similar happen with the second season. That would suggest a DVD release date of around the end of December or the start of January. However, some other shows have taken more than a year to come out.

There is no guarantee of the DVD release, though. It could have been a special agreement for the first season, which was supposed to be a limited series. However, I get a sense that this will have been written into the contracts thanks to the unions involved in the UK, so we’ll likely see Good Omens Season 2 on DVD at some point.
