Will The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel now come to DVD and Blu-ray?

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has come to an end. Will Amazon now release the complete series on DVD and Blu-ray? What are the chances of it happening?

Amazon isn’t in the habit of releasing its popular TV shows on DVD and Blu-ray. Every now and then, though, there is a surprise. Just look at The Boys, which has the first two seasons now on DVD. We’re waiting to see if and when the third season will also get a release.

What about other Amazon shows? Could Amazon decide to wait for shows to come to a complete end before finally releasing them on DVD and Blu-ray? The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is one of those that we’re looking out for. Will we now get it on DVD and Blu-ray?

Could The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel be released on DVD?

It is a shame that Amazon doesn’t do physical releases. Not doing Digital releases makes sense. This is going to take people away from the streaming platforms, but the DVD releases don’t. DVDs are great to have when you’re at home if there’s no internet or if a streamer removes content. Even original content is being removed from some platforms. They aren’t useful when you’re on the move like Digital and streaming content are.

So, it would be nice to see The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel get a DVD release. There’s just no guarantee of that happening.

There have been a few Amazon shows that have come to an end over the years and they haven’t had a DVD release. Look at Tin Star, The Man in the High Castle, and Paper Girls. The one show that did get a routine DVD release was Bosch, but that was back before Amazon’s streamer was a global option. The DVD release was great for international audiences. That’s no longer necessary.

We’ll certainly keep an eye out, though. It would be marvelous to get the release.
