Citadel Season 2 is not coming to Prime Video in July 2023

There are a lot of questions that need answering in Citadel Season 2. Just when will we get to see the season play out on Prime Video?

The Citadel Season 1 finale answered a lot of questions for us, including who Mason’s mother was. It shouldn’t have been that surprising when you considered how everyone seemed to know everyone.

By the end of the season, Mason got his memories back. Now it’s time for other secrets to come out. It’s time for more answers to our burning questions. The problem is Citadel doesn’t think that it’s time for us to learn them just yet. The second season will not premiere in July, but that shouldn’t be too surprising when you consider the first season only wrapped back in May.

When will Citadel Season 2 come to Prime Video?

We just don’t know when we can expect to see the second season of the series. In most cases, we would say give it 14 to 18 months between seasons, but there is one thing going on right now that is changing everything. Yes, it is all about the writers strike.

While the likes of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is filming during the strike, not all shows have scripts available. Citadel is one of them. Production has been halted.

The series is moving from the UK to California for tax breaks. This could also be a sign that the storyline is moving on from the one that we followed in the first season as Mason finds out that his mother betrayed him. Of course, Dahlia is still a huge part of the story, along with everything that led to her going up against Manticore, but the storyline is moving on from the London base.
