Gen V is not coming to Prime Video in July 2023

We are all eagerly waiting for Gen V to head to Prime Video. While we know it will arrive at some point in 2023, it’s not going to be in July.

As much as we would love to watch the college-set spin-off series of The Boys already, there is some bad news. Gen V was not on the list of July arrivals on Prime Video. To be honest, we weren’t expecting it to be, but it didn’t stop us from checking just in case.

This series will expand The Boys universe. There’s no doubt that it is going to include just as much profanity and gore as the parent series, despite being focused on a group of college kids. It’s probably going to be worse since it’s focused on college kids!

When will Gen V premiere on Prime Video?

We do know that the series will arrive some time in 2023, but Amazon hasn’t set the date just yet. That’s okay; Eric Kripke shared that it will arrive in the fall. That could be anywhere between September and December of this year.

We know The Wheel of Time Season 2 will arrive in Sept. 2023. That’s likely to get a weekly release format, so we’re probably looking at the end of October for the season to end. There’s no way Amazon will want to air episodes of The Wheel of Time at the same time as Gen V, so we’ll probably see the spin-off series arrive after The Wheel of Time Season 2 finale.

That puts a potential release window to at the end of October or early November. Like The Boys, we’re expecting a weekly release for this one, so we should have episodes taking up most of the end of 2023. That does likely mean a 2024 premiere date for The Boys Season 4.
