Is The Wheel of Time Season 2 coming to Prime Video in 2023?

We had hoped for The Wheel of Time Season 2 to arrive in 2022, but that year came and went. Will we get the new season in 2023?

The second season of The Wheel of Time is all we’ve been waiting for. We’re certainly ready to see the next part of the story. It looks like the Dark One has been taken care of, but that’s not the case at all.

And now Moiraine has no powers to help the world. She still has knowledge, but she’s been outcast from her people, and she’ll need help from others if she wants to protect the reincarnation of the Dragon and more.

When will The Wheel of Time Season 2 come to Prime Video?

When we learned that filming of the season had started back in July 2021, we hoped that meant we’d see The Wheel of Time Season 2 in 2022. That year came and went, and so we’re left hoping that we’ll get to see it at some point this year.

There is some great news for fans of the series. The Wheel of Time Season 2 will definitely premiere in 2023. Amazon has set the premiere date for Friday, Sept. 1. This marks a little less than two years from the first season of the series premiering. We are expecting another weekly release format to keep drawing attention to the show.

The first episode is titled “A Taste of Solitude.” That was revealed back in May 2021 before filming began. There hasn’t been much in the way of promotion of the season from Jeff Rake and others connected to the show due to the writers strike. Instead, The Wheel of Time social accounts have been putting the focus on the writers who are fighting for fair pay and treatment from the networks. However, this isn’t stopping the show from premiering as everything was completed before the strike started.

The Wheel of Time Season 2 premieres on Friday, Sept. 1 on Prime Video.
