Is The Little Mermaid on Amazon?
The live-action version of The Little Mermaid is now available to watch in theaters. Where will the movie stream online? Will it come to Amazon?
Disney is on a roll with live-action remakes of its hit animated movies. The latest one, which has cause controversy for a ridiculous reason, is The Little Mermaid. Halle Bailey is taking on the iconic role with Melissa McCarthy playing Ursala and Daveed Diggs taking on the role of Sebastian.
You can head to theaters right now to watch the movie. What if you want to watch it at home? Now you just need to know which streaming platform it’s going to. Will you be able to watch The Little Mermaid on Amazon?
Is The Little Mermaid on Prime Video?
We do start this post off with some bad news. It is not heading to Prime Video at first. It’s unlikely to come to Prime Video any time soon.
This is a Disney movie, so there is only one place for it to head after the theatrical release. It will go to Disney+, which is where it’s likely to stay indefinitely. Disney may share the content under a non-exclusive license with other streamers, but it’s unlikely to go anywhere exclusively.
Is The Little Mermaid on Amazon Video?
What about a Digital release, though? This would make the movie available to buy on Amazon Instant Video, which is a great way to pay once and watch over and over again. There is no need to worry about where it’s going to stream.
This is where we have some great news. We will most likely see the Disney movie head to Digital. We’ll also see it head to DVD and Blu-ray. This is a great way for Disney to make money, and there’s no reason to think that The Little Mermaid won’t follow the same release method as other Disney movies.
The Little Mermaid is currently in theaters to watch.
