Disney Pixar’s Soul is coming to Digital in March 2021

Are you ready to add Soul to your Digital and DVD collection? The Disney Pixar movie now has a Digital release date, and here’s all you need to know.

At the time of writing this, only the Digital release date has been confirmed. According to DVD Release Dates, Soul is coming to Digital on Tuesday, March 23. This will be to buy and not to rent, and you can already place your pre-order right now.

What about the DVD and Blu-ray release date? We’re still expecting that to be around about the same time. That would follow what Disney did with Mulan. However, remember that Mulan got the extra financial push by it being available through Premier Access on Disney Plus instead of being made available for all subscribers at no addition cost like Soul was released.

Should you get Soul on Digital?

Personally, I’m not the biggest fan of just getting a movie on Digital. I like the Blu-ray combo packs, so I get the Digital codes at the same time. However, those Digital codes usually mean I’m getting the movies through Google Play or another platform.

If you want to get the movie on Amazon to add it to your Amazon Library, getting it on Digital on March 23 is likely to be the best way.

Is Soul good?

While there have been some comments about race within the movie, the animated movies is Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with a 95% score from the critics. Audience members were a little more critical, with the movie getting an 88% score.

There are certainly some downsides and some questions raised. However, the movie is made mostly for children, and they’re going to adore it.
