When will the Mulan DVD release date be?

Mulan is now available to buy on Disney Plus Premier. It’s the live-action reboot many have been waiting for, originally planned for March but pushed back to September due to the coronavirus pandemic. Of course, you want to know when the Mulan DVD release date will be.

Right now, there isn’t a release date issued. This isn’t uncommon.

With the movie only just on the streaming service at a premium price and in theaters, Disney is going to want to gain as much revenue through these methods as possible. However, we can project the release date.

Something we do know is that Mulan will head to Disney Plus for all subscribers on Dec. 4. We also know that it will not be possible to buy the movie through Disney Plus Premier after Nov. 2. This could give us an idea of the DVD and Blu-ray release date.

Mulan could come to DVD and Blu-ray at the end of this year

It seems odd that Disney is preventing people from buying the movie from Nov. 2 but is not putting it on Disney Plus until Dec. 4. Isn’t that strange considering it’s going to want to gain as much revenue as possible from this unconventional release?

It could hint that the DVD and Blu-ray release will happen during this time. This could also be when the Digital release happens through all digital platforms.

There’s no guarantee, but it is something to look out for.

Onward made it to theaters just before the coronavirus pandemic. Disney then released it on Digital around the same time as the Disney Plus release. This was to make it easier for families to watch the movie since the theaters had closed. It didn’t come to DVD and Blu-ray until May 19, two-and-a-half months after the theatrical release.

This could be a rough guide for when the Mulan DVD release date will be. We could be looking at two-and-a-half months, taking us to the middle of November 2020.
