Will The Clearing come to DVD and Blu-ray?

The Clearing has premiered on Hulu, but what if you want to add it to your DVD collection? Will this series head to DVD and Blu-ray in the future?

Teresa Palmer is back, and this time she plays a woman who is slowly remember her traumatic past. She’s been able to keep a lot of her past locked away for a long time, but the disappearance of a young girl brings the memories flooding back.

She grew up in The Kindred, the world’s only female cult. There’s a chance that The Kindred has taken the latest young girl, and now others are at risk. Of course, everyone is looking for a way to keep the young girls safe from harm.

You can stream the series on Hulu, but maybe you want to own it on DVD and Blu-ray. Is that going to be possible?

The Clearing may come to DVD and Blu-ray

Usually, we’d say that a streaming show probably won’t come to DVD and Blu-ray. However, Hulu has a history of releasing content in physical form. We can look at The Great and The Handmaid’s Tale, two of the biggest releases on Hulu, to see that this happens. If Hulu is putting those on DVD, then it makes sense for others to follow.

However, this will depend on the contract when developing the series. Some production studios have found DVD releases are the best way to make the money back so make sure DVD sales are included.

If the DVD release happens, we’re looking at it taking about five to six months at least. This gives the show time to perform well on Hulu.

What about a Digital release? This is a little less likely than a DVD release. This does take people away from the streaming platform, but we have seen Hulu shows released on Digital in the past.
