The very first season of Citadel arrives on Prime Video at the end of the week. The first two episodes will drop on the streaming platform, with the rest of the episodes coming out weekly. Now you just need to know how many episodes will be in the show.

By knowing the number of episodes, you’ll know when the season finale airs on Prime Video. You’ll also know how long you have to piece together the mystery that is going to be in this spy thriller.

The good news is that it doesn’t sound like this is going to be the only season. It wasn’t billed as a limited series, and there are already talks of the show moving to California for filming of the second season.

Citadel Season 1 episode count on Prime Video

The first season will have six episodes.

Amazon is releasing the first two episodes together. After that, we’ll get one episode per week. The finale will air on Friday, May 26.

Throughout the six episodes, we’ll get to see what happened to the global spy agency eight years earlier. Then it’s time to find out where the agents are now after getting their memories wiped and find out how they will remember the events going on. Will the agency be able to take down Manticore? That’s what we’ll get to find out in the finale.

With six episodes, it’s clear that this is going to be a standalone story. However, there is sure to be some sort of cliffhanger to then lead us into the potential second season.

Citadel premieres on Prime Video on Friday, April 28.
