The Wheel of Time Season 2 is officially happening, but we’re not getting to see it just yet. When will the second season premiere on Prime Video?

We start this post with some bad news. The Wheel of Time Season 2 is definitely not arriving on Prime Video in April 2023. We hoped that we would have gotten the first episodes by now. After all, filming on the season wrapped in May 2022.

Yes, this is a show that has a long post-production process. It could be that causing the delay, but it could also be Amazon looking for the best slot in the year to bring the show to fans. April may not be a good time with The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 5 arriving and a few episodes of The Power to air.

A wait like this would usually concern us. However, Amazon has already confirmed that Season 3 is happening and production on that is underway right now.

When will The Wheel of Time Season 2 come to Prime Video?

It’s unclear how long we will need to wait. Amazon will want to find the best time to drop the episodes. It looks like the streamer is trying to spread out the fantasy shows. February and March were all about Carnival Row Season 2, while the end of March and into April and May is all about The Power.

The Wheel of Time Season 2 could premiere at the end of May, also timing with The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel series finale. Alternatively, Amazon could hold off until June or a point in the later summer or early fall to bring the episodes.

We’re still expecting this show to be released weekly. That is the way Amazon is releasing a lot of shows, especially those that cost a lot to produce. It’s the best way to pull in the viewers.
