Taylor Jenkins Reid brought us the excellent story Daisy Jones and the Six back in 2017. It’s taken some time to come to screens, but the first three episodes are finally available. By the end of the month, all 10 episodes will be out, and it’ll be time to binge-watch.

There is no doubt you’re going to want more. Even without a cliffhanger ending, you’ll want to see more of this story of a band that broke up at the height of its success. Will there be more to Daisy and her bandmates’ stories?

There is some very bad news for those who will want more. There isn’t going to be a second season.

This series has been billed as a miniseries. It’s one season and it is over. The full story from the book is going to be told, and there isn’t a sequel to adapt. If you want more from Reid, you’ll need to read more of her other books.

The writers made sure the full story is told. By the end of the finale, you’ll feel like you understand why the band broke up and get an idea of what happened over the years after the split. You’ll feel like there’s some sort of completion to the story.

Of course, never say “never.” We have seen plenty of limited series end up with second seasons. Big Little Lies is the biggest of the trend, continuing the book story for the show only. One of Us Is Lying opted to create a whole new murder mystery instead of following the actual second book in the series. Good Omens has a second book out despite Neil Gaiman once saying that he probably wouldn’t do it.
