Emma Mackey’s star is growing since Sex Education on Netflix. The Emily movie is out in theaters, but when will it come to DVD and Blu-ray?

If you haven’t heard, Emma Mackey stars in Emily, a movie that is all about the infamous English author Emily Brontë. While there are true elements to Emily’s life as an author and with her siblings, there are fictionalized elements to the story. One of the fictionalized elements is the relationship with the young curate, William Weightman, played by The Haunting of Hill House‘s Oliver Jackson-Cohen.

Historians have debated about Emily and William’s relationship for a long time. Why not turn the debates into a movie?

Of course, you can head to theaters right now to check it out. What about if you want to watch it at home? You’ll want to get it on DVD and Blu-ray.

When will Emily movie on DVD and Blu-ray?

There isn’t a set DVD release just yet. That’s not surprising with the movie only just out in theaters. So, when can we expect it?

This is a Bleecker Street production in the United States. Warner Bros. is the distributing company in the UK, and this could affect the release date. We tend to see Warner Bros. UK release movies after about three months, giving the theaters the 90-day exclusivity window.

With that in mind, we’re probably looking at around the middle of May 2023 for Emily to head to DVD and Blu-ray.

What about on Digital? This is often about two or three weeks before the DVD release. It’s hard to say with the production studios slowly moving back to the traditional way of doing things before the pandemic.
