Somebody I Used to Know age rating: Is the movie suitable for kids?
Somebody I Used to Know is the big Amazon release this week. Is this a movie to watch with the kids around? Here’s a look at the age rating.
If you’re looking for something to watch this weekend, you’ll want to turn to Amazon’s streamer. Prime Video is bringing Somebody I Used to Know on Friday, Feb. 10. Actually, there’s some good news for those in North America.
This is a global release, which means it comes out at midnight UK time. This means we’re looking at getting it at around 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT on Thursday, Feb. 9. That means the kids will be awake when the movie drops, so you’ll need to know if it’s one to watch while they’re awake or if you need to wait for them to go to bed. The age rating is the best place to start with this one.
Somebody I Used to Know age rating
The movie’s official age rating is R. This means that it’s for those who are 18 and above.
What’s the reasoning for the rating? Well, this is a movie with a lot of nudity and some foul language in it. There isn’t that much in the way of violence and gore, though. It’s a rom-com type of movie, so you’ll get an idea of what to expect from that. There is some mild drug use as the movie includes adult characters doing, well, adult things!
You’ll know your children the best. If you have older teens, you may find that Somebody I Used to Know is suitable for them. It’s not the best for the younger children in the house, though. It’s up to you as a parent at the end of the day.
Somebody I Used to Know is on Prime Video on Friday, Feb. 10.
