Reacher Season 2 is not coming in February 2023

It’s been a year since we got to watch the intense first season of Reacher. We’ve also waited that long for Reacher Season 2, but it’s not coming yet.

With how well-received the first episodes were, it wasn’t surprising to see Reacher quickly renewed back in February 2022. Now it’s just a waiting game for that second season.

We had hoped an early renewal would help to keep the wait to a minimum. There was hope it would mean just a year or so between seasons, but that’s not the case. Just in case Amazon was keeping it as a surprise, we checked for Reacher Season 2 on the list of Prime Video releases this month but it’s not on there.

When will Reacher Season 2 premiere on Prime Video?

There isn’t a set date just yet, but there is some hope that we will get the season at some point this year. Amazon Studios’ Head of Television Vernon Sanders told Collider that he thinks Reacher Season 2 will premiere in 2023, but didn’t commit to a time of year.

There are a lot of shows we’re expecting this year including Gen V, Invincible, and Carnival Row. There’s even a chance Jack Ryan Season 4 will arrive later this year. We’d certainly love it if Reacher could also be on the list.

The downside for Reacher fans is that the second season only started filming in September 2022. It can take a long time to film and get through post-production for shows, and all episodes need to be through post in time for the first one to air. It could mean a late 2023 release date for the season.

We know it will be worth the wait, but that doesn’t mean we like this wait. At least we have the first season to binge-watch again.
