When will Plane come to DVD and Blu-ray?
Plane starring Gerard Butler and Mike Colter is now out in theaters. When will you be able to own it on DVD and Blu-ray to watch at home?
We all know what Gerard Butler movies are like. They’re pretty predictable, but still enjoyable. He’s not the only actor to be like that. Just look at Liam Neeson or Bruce Willis movies.
Plane is the latest movie to make it to theaters. It follows Butler as Brodie Torrence, a pilot who is forced to crash land after a lightning strike. He manages to save the passengers initially but finds that they’ve landed on a war-torn island and now they’re in a lot of trouble.
While most of the passengers are taken hostage by rebels, Torrence turns to Louis Gaspare (Mike Colter), a man who has been accused of murder and was being transported by the FBI on the plane. Can the two trust each other, and will they be able to get the passengers out of the new spot of trouble?
Plane DVD release date predictions
With the movie only just out in theaters, it shouldn’t be surprising to hear that there isn’t a DVD release date just yet. This is a Lionsgate movie, though, so we can make some predictions. We’ll look at Prey for the Devil and Moonfall to get an idea of when Plane could come to DVD and Blu-ray.
It took about two-and-a-half months for the two movies to go from theaters to DVD and Blu-ray. We’re looking at something similar for this latest movie. With that in mind, we’re looking at toward the end of March 2023.
It’s hard to say if patterns are going to stay the same right now. Since the pandemic, patterns have changed each year as more places have opened up. Theaters want the 90-day exclusivity back, and Lionsgate may offer that. We’ll be sure to keep an eye on the release.
As for the Digital release, we could be looking at just six weeks to two months. That could mean the start to the middle of March 2023.
