DVD releases happening this week: House of the Dragon and more
House of the Dragon is likely the biggest of the DVD releases happening this week. There ar some excellent additions to your collections coming.
It’s the last week before Christmas, and you’re likely getting some final gifts in order. There are already some excellent boxsets to consider, but this week also has some great DVD releases.
For the Game of Thrones fans out there, the prequel series certainly was an enjoyable watch (once you deal with all the time jumps). House of the Dragon Season 1 is coming to DVD and Blu-ray this week, much earlier than we thought it would based on the releases of the Game of Thrones seasons.
The Banshee of Inisherin, Tales of the Walking Dead, and more
If you’re not into the fantasy shows, how about a zombie series? The Walking Dead is a highly popular franchise, and Tales of the Walking Dead is one of the more recent spin-offs. You can get the complete first season of that spin-off on Tuesday, Dec. 20.
Prefer a movie? The Banshee of Inisherin is a must-watch. Colin Ferrell and Brendan Gleeson star in a story about a failed friendship. Set on an island just off the coast of Galway, it starts with a man called Colm who just suddenly decides to shun his friend, Padraic. Of course, Padraic is heartbroken, confused by the events, and he wants to get his buddy back. When that’s not possible, Padraic decides to focus on his music, but plenty of people are drawn in by this confusing feud.
Then there’s Paradise City, which stars John Travolta and Bruce Willis. The movie follows Ryan Swan, who needs to go through the Hawaiian criminal underworld after his father is murdered by a drug kingpin. It’s all about vengeance, but will he end up becoming the drug kingpin’s next victim?
