The first full week of December saw a little bit of change on the list of most read Amazon books of the week. Louise Penny was the only new addition.

As we get closer to Christmas, there is a fair bit of change on the list of most read Amazon books. This is the point of year a lot of parents are waiting for children to finish events, which means more time listening to audiobooks or reading on the Kindle.

There was a fair bit of change throughout the week, but the most notable addition was A World of Curiosities by Louise Penny. This is her new book, although you’ll certainly know her name recently for Three Pines on Prime Video.

Nora Roberts up, Lee Child down

The Choice by Nora Roberts joined the list during the previous week, and it wasn’t surprising to see it move up the list last week. It gained six places, fitting itself in the Top 10.

Also joining the Top 10 was Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus. After hanging around the bottom of the list for a few weeks, it gained four places to get into ninth place.

We saw a small change to the Top 3 with It Starts with Us by Colleen Hoover losing a spot to land in fourth place and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling getting back into the Top 3.

Further down the list, No Plan B by Lee and Andrew Child lost five spots. It’s now out of the Top 15. So is Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling after losing another two spots. Meanwhile, Desert Star by Michael Connelly was knocked out of the Top 10 after losing four spots.
