Good Omens Season 2 is not coming in December 2022

We would absolutely love to see Good Omens Season 2 already. There is some bad news, though. We won’t get to watch it before 2022 comes to an end.

Good Omens Season 2 may have finished filming earlier this year, but that doesn’t mean we’ll get to see it before 2022 ends. The list of Prime Video releases in December is out, and this series is not on the list.

To be honest, we didn’t expect to see it on the list. After all, we’ve already been told we’ll need to wait until 2023.

When will Good Omens Season 2 come to Prime Video?

There is still a bit of a wait on our hands. The last we heard, the series would arrive in summer 2023. That news came out during NYCC, and while it was a little disappointing that we’d have to wait so long, it’s just exciting to know the season is arriving.

This wasn’t a show we expected to see renewed. It was billed as a limited series. While there was an unfinished novel, some of it was used for the first season and Neil Gaiman had said that he wouldn’t finish it without the late Sir Terry Pratchett. It felt like that meant adapting it for the screen, too.

Yet, in the end, Amazon talked Gaiman into the development of it. There is a different storyline. Instead of an Armageddon, Crowley and Aziraphale will need to solve some sort of mystery at the bookstore. Of course, they’ll end up with angels and demons working against them, we’re sure.

The wait is so long due to the post-production process. A series like this has a lot of CGI, and CGI done well takes months of hard work. We’re here for it, though.
