It’s a new week, and we saw a little but of change on the list of most read Amazon books. Only one book entered the list last week.

Each week, Amazon collects the list of most read books. These are based on people reading via the Kindle app and listening on Audible. We see a little change each week, and last week saw most of the books move between themselves.

There was one new addition, though. Desert Star by Michael Connelly entered the list in 13th place. It isn’t surprising considering the success of Connelly’s books. He has a loyal fanbase who will read the books immediately. We expect to see this book move up the list this week.

Fire & Blood and The Fellowship of the Ring down

Some books moved down the list of most read Amazon books, and those movers didn’t surprise us. The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien dropped three places. It clings onto a spot in the Top 20 list, but with The Rings of Power Season 2 a fair way away, we’re not expecting to see this novel on the list for much longer.

Fire & Blood by George R.R. Martin also dropped three places, but this novel likely has a little more time on the list. Unlike The Fellowship of the RingHouse of the Dragon is based on Fire & Blood. There’s still more story to tell, and fans will be reading ahead while waiting for Season 2 of the Game of Thrones prequel.

Verity by Colleen Hoover also dropped three spaces. We also saw It Starts with Us drop a spot, with Fairy Tale by Stephen King reclaiming the top spot.
