Flynne finds out that the bounty on her head is real in The Peripheral Season 1, Episode 2. She also learns the truth about the sim.

The first episode of The Peripheral certainly set things up with a promising start. We got to know a little about the world the Fishers are in and this “virtual” world they’ve gone into. However, it turns out that the world isn’t as virtual as it seems.

Now there’s a bounty on Flynne’s head. This isn’t just about Flynne, either. There’s a bounty on the entire Fisher household, and mercenaries will stop at nothing to get them. Will Flynne do as she’s asked and go back into the world that she swore never to visit again?

What to expect in The Peripheral Season 1, Episode 2

The new episode promises a lot of action (but doesn’t quite live up to it). All the action takes place at the beginning. I just want to warn you there. However, it doesn’t stop if from being interesting.

This episode sees Flynne find out more about the sim that was made for her. She decides to return the headset, not wanting any part of this virtual world that has sent mercenaries after her and her family. That’s when she learns that the world isn’t as virtual as it seems.

The world is 2099 London. Now she needs to decide whether she will help 2099 with whatever problem it has on its hand. Can she prevent that future from happening, and can her brother and his friends keep her safe in the process? If you’ve been wondering how she’s going to get her own avatar, this is the episode to watch.

Check out the synopsis and promo for The Peripheral Season 1, Episode 2:

"Mercenaries raid the family home. Seeking answers, Flynne returns to the headset and learns it is not a game, but a time machine that goes 70 years into the future. Flynne makes a deal with Wilf and Lev, and agrees to help find Aelita."
