The Wheel of Time Season 2 is not coming in October 2022

As much as we’d love to see it, The Wheel of Time Season 2 is not ready yet. When will the series return to Prime Video?

Our eyes are always on the return of our favorite shows. The Wheel of Time certainly impressed, and we’re ready to see the next part of the journey. The bad news is that it won’t happen just yet.

We’ve double-checked the list of releases in October on Prime Video. The Wheel of Time Season 2 is not on the list. That isn’t all that surprising, but we were holding out some hope of a miracle. The truth is, we’re not really expecting it this year.

When will The Wheel of Time Season 2 come to Prime Video?

The earliest we would expect it is in November 2022. That could be possible based on filming wrapping earlier this year, but it can take a good eight months of post-production to get a series like this ready. We’d rather the show have the time than rush things just so we can see it.

It usually takes 14 to 18 months for new seasons on Prime Video. There are exceptions to the rule like The Man in the High Castle Season 3 and due to the pandemic, but we are seeing a lot of shows get back to some normality now.

The earliest we’re likely to see this season is January 2023. This would allow Carnival Row Season 2 to finally premiere without the threat of being overshadowed by another fantasy series. Yes, we’re still waiting for that!

At least we know this wait isn’t going to affect The Wheel of Time‘s future for now. The third season has been confirmed and filming has already started.
