Will there be a Season 2 of The Wheel of Time?

We left multiple characters with fates unknown in The Wheel of Time Season 1. There’s been a wait for Season 2. Is it still happening?

With the way things ended in Season 1, there’s no doubt that we’re ready to see what’s to come next. Multiple fates were left open, and we know there’s a chance of face coming to one character (Mat). Now we need to know that the season is happening.

Before the first season dropped, we got some great news. Prime Video renewed the show for Season 2. It’s been some time since we got the first season, though. Is this second season still happening?

The Wheel of Time is renewed for Season 2

The good news continues. The Wheel of Time Season 2 is still happening. There was never really a risk that the series would be cancelled. There was some huge noise about it when it was first ordered back in 2019, and then there was praise for the series when it first dropped. Sure, there were some who didn’t like the changes from the book, but overall, it was a great adaptation.

There is even more good news about the series. Filming has wrapped on Season 2. It won’t be too much longer until the season arrives on Prime Video. We’re hoping for the end of 2022, but at the latest, we’re looking at early 2023. The season is sure to be worth the wait.

The teaser for the second season is out. This hints that there’s a new location. There’s the chance that we’re heading to the Aiel Waste, which wouldn’t be too surprising considering some of the new casting. What is surprising is that we don’t head to the Waste until the fourth book, which does suggest that we’ll see the combination of novels for some storylines.
