Reacher Season 2 is not coming in August 2022

We would love to check in with Jack Reacher again already, but that’s not the case. When will Reacher Season 2 come to Prime Video?

There’s some bad news for those who are ready for more Jack Reacher. We won’t get to watch the new season this month. Just in case there was a miracle, we double-checked the list of new releases on Prime Video in August, and Reacher Season 2 wasn’t there.

But nobody expected that, right? After all, this is a series that is currently in production. So, when can we expect the new season to premiere, and is there any more news about it yet?

When will Reacher Season 2 come to Prime Video?

The great news is Reacher Season 2 is happening. This was one of the biggest shows of 2022, and it landed a renewal just weeks into the first season. With the anticipation from the series, we expected some good ratings and a quick renewal. It helped that the series was just so darn good.

Now we just wait for the second season, and it’s going to be a long one. Well, long-ish. This is going to be nothing like the wait for Jack Ryan Season 3 or Carnival Row Season 2. We don’t have a pandemic causing a problem as much.

We are looking at February 2023 at the very earliest. That is if production can be kept to something like Bosch, which allowed for a yearly release. However, 14 months is pretty standard for Prime Video shows like Reacher, so we could be looking at April 2023. Either way, we’re pretty confident that the season will arrive sometime in the first half of next year.

The season is going to follow the storyline of the 11th book in the Reacher series. You’ll want to read Bad Luck and Trouble if you want an idea of the storyline.
